Make Use of Your Leaf Rubbings. This art project makes a nice souvenir from a trip. You can display it in a frame in your home or can share your leaf creations with your friends and family in a letter, on a blank notecard, or beautiful stationery. You can even make leaf rubbings on large sheets of paper and then use the paper as gift wrap.   -it can be used on wood, fabric & paper but has better results depending on what color/medium you are working with. Trim any edges that are not fully fused and make a unique, customized book!   If it doesn’t, turn the book cover wrong side out and make any adjustments that need to be made. Sew the opening closed using an invisible stitch aka ladder stitch. Press well and you’re done! The inside of the book cover will look like this. Insert the book into the fabric book cover.

My first book on bookbinding was Japanese Bookbinding by Kojiro Ikegami. One of the many useful things I learned from that book was how to back paper and cloth. I learned to strengthen fragile papers and make my own book cloth. Over the years, I have modified the process. To back paper I use either plain cooked wheat starch paste or a.   Learn to make Paper Cloth using glue, found papers and lightweight fabric. You can use Paper Cloth in many mixed media art projects.
